Holmes Beach police arrested resident Kira Noble, 26, Nov. 27 on a second-degree misdemeanor charge for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
She also was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor for refusing to submit to DUI testing.
An officer pursued a motorist around 4:25 a.m. after observing the driver turn right from Manatee Avenue onto Gulf Drive, striking the curbs on both sides of the dedicated turn lane.
The vehicle had a broken and hanging passenger-side mirror, and the motorist failed to maintain a lane.
During a traffic stop, the driver, Noble, said she had been drinking at a bar, and she displayed signs of impairment.
She failed field sobriety exercises but refused to provide a breath sample for alcohol content testing.
Arrested, she was taken to the Holmes Beach Police Department and then to the Manatee County jail.
She was released from jail later the same day after posting $650 bond.
If convicted, punishment for a first-degree misdemeanor charge includes up to a year in jail, a year of probation and a fine of up to $1,000.
Punishment for a second-degree misdemeanor includes up to 60 days in jail, six months of probation and a fine of up to $500.
An arraignment will be Jan. 6, 2026, at the Manatee County Judicial Center in Bradenton.
