The Bradenton Beach Police Department assisted in the arrest of Robert A. Nagel, of Whippany, New Jersey, Dec. 27, 2025, for driving under the influence.
A BBPD officer had observed a speeding motorist and stopped him in the 700 block of Gulf Drive South.
The driver, Nagel, said he had consumed a beer about an hour earlier, according to a police report.
So BBPD called for the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a DUI investigation, which resulted in Nagel’s arrest for driving under the influence.
If convicted, Nagel would face up to 12 months in jail.
A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 3 at the Manatee County Judicial Center in Bradenton.
