Pier pilings work nears completion

Tampa Bay Marine’s barge moves closer to shore Jan. 13 as the contractor drives the remaining pilings for the Anna Maria City Pier walkway. Mayor Mark Short told The Islander Jan. 15 that inclement weather had slowed TBM’s progress on the walkway rebuild, but the final pilings were expected to be driven over the next couple of weeks.
