Manatee County is taking applications for two seats on its tourist development council, with applications open through June 1.
The TDC is a nine-member volunteer board that advises the board of county commissioners on how to spend tourist development tax revenues and shapes projects in the county’s tourist development plan.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered county voters with a demonstrated interest in tourist development. Those involved in operations subject to the county’s 6% resort tax are not eligible.
Terms run four years.
The “interested citizen” seats currently are held by Dave Wick and Norma Kennedy.
Applications are available at mymanatee.org/advisory_boards.
