Bradenton Beach
May 1, 900 Gulf Drive N., Kokonut Hut, suspicious circumstances. Two women told the BBPD they possibly were drugged while consuming beverages. The women went to HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton concerned they had been “roofied.” Medical staff advised the BBPD the women refused drug and alcohol testing and their symptoms did not appear consistent with intoxication. The case was closed pending further information.

Holmes Beach
April 30, Kingfish Boat Ramp, 752 Manatee Ave. W, camping/Marchman Act. An officer found a vehicle parked at the boat ramp around 3:20 a.m. Two people were sleeping inside. The officer called for backup and tried to wake the vehicle’s occupants, but one of them did not wake. He found a bag containing Xanax inside the vehicle. Manatee County Emergency Medical Services evaluated the unconscious woman. An officer detained her under the Marchman Act so EMS could transport her to the HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton for treatment. The vehicle’s other occupant was issued a court summons for a camping violation.
April 30, Publix Liquors, 505 Manatee Ave., alcohol/camping. An officer found a man sleeping on the ground behind the store with an open bottle of liquor next to him. The officer woke the man, who admitted to drinking from the bottle earlier that evening. The officer issued the man a court summons.
April 30, 500 block of 67th Street, domestic battery. An officer responded to reports of a domestic incident. The complainant told police that she and her daughter got into an argument that escalated and became physical. She said her daughter struck her in the head and pushed her. Another officer interviewed the daughter, who admitted to striking her mother. The daughter was arrested and transported to the county jail.
May 1, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, alcohol/camping/obstruction without violence. An officer found a man sleeping in the park around 5:36 a.m., after closing hours, with two open wine bottles near him. The officer woke the man and informed him he was violating city code. The man refused to provide an ID, so the officer arrested him, trespassed him from the property and took him to the county jail.
May 5, 400 block of 62nd Street, burglary. A man reported a handicap placard was stolen from his vehicle, which he parked near the city basketball courts and left unlocked.
