Walkway work wrapping up, T-end next

Tampa Bay Marine employees lay decking July 8 on the boat landing at the Anna Maria City Pier, where the contractor has nearly completed the rebuild of the walkway. Mayor Mark Short wrote in a July 10 text message to The Islander that the city was finalizing logistics with Anna Maria-based Tangerine Group for demolition and remediation work on the T-end. The city plans to open the shell of the T-end’s southern building by replacing walls and windows with sliding glass doors. The pier was damaged in the 2024 hurricanes.
