Eyes on the road

Stay informed before you head out on the road with weekly updates on island-related roadwork, traffic impacts and free transportation on the MCAT trolley.

      56th Street and Marina Drive, Holmes Beach: Stormwater improvements require a closure at the intersection and detours in August. Info: holmesbeachfl.org, 941-708-5800.

      Cortez Bridge and Cortez Road, Cortez: Continuing in August, concrete barriers are in the rights of way on the south side of Cortez Road West. Impacted streets include 124th Street West, 124th Street Court West, 125th Street West and Central Avenue, with barriers extending to just before 123rd Street Court West.       75th Street West at Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton: Manatee County is working on 75th Street West improvements from 19th Avenue West to Second Avenue West in Bradenton. Motorists can expect delays and road closures. Info: mymanatee.org/75th.

 

Trolley around AMI

            Manatee County Area Transit’s island trolley operates most days 6 a.m.-10:45 p.m. between Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach and the Anna Maria City Pier in Anna Maria.
