Sept. 10, 800 block of North Shore Drive, civil dispute. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a civil dispute between family members over a deceased relative’s will. The caller told the deputy that baseball cards were missing.
Sept. 11, 300 block of North Bay Boulevard, grand theft. An MCSO report stated $550 worth of items were stolen by an unknown person from an supply closet. The items were listed in the report along with available serial numbers.
Sept. 20, 10000 block of Gulf Drive, Baker Act. A man approached an MCSO deputy and said he took 20-30 Xanax pills. The report stated he appeared intoxicated and was holding a cold beer.
Sept. 23, 200 block of Magnolia Avenue, battery. An MSCO deputy responded to a domestic battery call. A man allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck. The woman broke free by biting the man’s hand. Both started swinging at each other, but one person was identified as the primary aggressor and was arrested.

Cortez
Sept. 16, 12000 block of Cortez Road, found property. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy was called to assist a Bradenton Beach Police Department officer who was looking for a person who reported a found a credit card. The person and credit card were found.
Sept. 20, 11500 block of Cortez Road, assist. An MCSO deputy was called to assist a Florida Highway Patrol officer with a traffic stop that resulted in an arrest. The report stated the MCSO deputy took possession of a firearm found in the vehicle of the arrested suspect.
Sept. 23, 10100 block of Cortez Road, violation of injunction. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a caller who said a restraining order was being violated. According the report, the suspect was found in violation of the injunction and taken to the Manatee County jail.

Holmes Beach
Sept. 20, 4100 block of Gulf Drive, assist. An additional officer was requested by the Holmes Beach Police Department to a residence where a burglary was suspected of taking place. The report stated the officer stood by as an investigation took place.
