The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections Office released certified election results Nov. 20.
The results show 2,003 votes cast for mayor in Holmes Beach. Bob Johnson garnered 1,197 votes and David Zaccagnino earned 806.
At the end of the campaign, Johnson took $5,729 into his campaign fund — $1,000 from his pocket and the remainder from 45 individuals. He spent $3,620.55. Zaccagnino took in $1,180 — $430 from his pocket — and spent $682.32.
For the two commission seats, 3,221 votes were cast. Incumbent Commissioners Judy Titsworth received 1,282 and Marvin Grossman 1,088. Challenger Andy Sheridan received 851 votes.
Titsworth collected $850 for her campaign, contributing $600 of her own money and spending $309.87. Grossman pulled in $2,350 in campaign funds, with $300 of his own contributions, and he spent 1,055.17. Sheridan invested $160 in his fund, which reached $1,814. He spent $781.04.
