Dec. 22, 100 block of Spring Avenue, lost property. A woman reported losing a bracelet while walking on the beach.
Dec. 22, 100 block of Palmetto Avenue, civil dispute. A property owner reported an unknown person trimmed sea grape trees on his property.

Bradenton Beach
Dec. 25, 100 block of Gulf Drive South, license violation. Police arrested a 47-year-old man for driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop for a license plate that belonged to another vehicle. The man acknowledged to police he was driving on a suspended license out of Colorado. He said he’d fallen on hard times and had found the unexpired tag and attached it to the vehicle. He was booked on $120 bond.
Dec. 27, 2300 block of Gulf Drive South, domestic aggravated battery. A 23-year-old man was arrested for pulling a knife on a relative while near the Longboat Pass channel. He was booked in the Manatee County jail, posted $200 bond and was released.

Cortez
Dec. 22, 3800 block of 117th Street West, criminal mischief. An estimated $800 of damage to a vehicle was reported. The vehicle’s owner told police the damage occurred during the past month and included small dents in different sections, a broken taillight and, most recently, chips in the windshield.

Holmes Beach
Dec. 14, 700 block of Manatee Avenue, license. After checking the license status of a motorist, Holmes Beach police determined he was driving on a suspended license out of Virginia. The man told the officer he thought he’d paid the out-of-state fine. He was issued a citation and summons.
Dec. 16, 3902 Gulf Drive, burglary. The owner of West Coast Surf Shop reported a forced entry attempt sometime between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16. Someone tried to pry open the door, but a long lock bolt prevented the door from opening. About $50 in damage was reported.
Dec. 17, 5400 block of Holmes Boulevard, license. A motorist was stopped because police identified him as having numerous driver’s license suspensions on his record. The driver told police he needed to get to work. His employer came to the scene and removed the vehicle. He was booked on a traffic felony, posted $1,500 bond and was released.
