Sept. 19, 400 block of Magnolia Avenue, noise. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint about a loud pool party. An ordinance violation notice was issued and the party quieted.

Sept. 20, 100 block of Pelican Drive, noise. The MCSO received a complaint at 6 p.m. about loud music lasting for hours. The complainant said to get away, he went to a dog park for peace and quiet. No additional information was available.

Sept. 20, 512 Pine Ave., Roser Memorial Community Church. The MCSO took a report of a missing bike valued at about $150 and left outside the church during service.

Sept. 20, 400 block of Pine Avenue, noise. The MCSO responded to a complaint about a loud party “whooping it up.”

Sept. 21, Jacaranda Road at the beach, theft. The MCSO responded to a renter’s report that two bikes were stolen from a beach entrance.

Sept. 22, 500 block of Seagull Way, noise. The MCSO received a complaint at 7:50 p.m. about noise, with the complainant requesting “cops to come and give them a lecture.” No violation was found.

Bradenton Beach

Sept. 19, 100 block of 12th Street South, abandoned boat. A resident called the Bradenton Beach Police Department to report a vessel that had anchored in the Intracoastal Waterway drifted to a private dock after a storm. An officer deemed the vessel abandoned due to its poor condition and tried, unsuccessfully, to contact the registered owner.

Sept. 20, Coquina Beach, 2650 Gulf Dr. S., stolen vehicle. Plant City residents called the BBPD to report a stolen vehicle and trailer. The vehicle’s owner had loaded furniture into the trailer before visiting Coquina Beach. While the driver was on the beach, his acquaintance drove off with the vehicle and trailer. The vehicles were entered into databases.

Sept. 21, Leffis Key, 2600 Gulf Drive S., abandoned vehicle. A Manatee County code enforcement officer reported an abandoned motorcycle to the BBPD. The vehicle was not reported stolen.

Holmes Beach

Sept. 15, 200 block of North Harbor Drive, noise. Holmes Beach police officers responded to a noise complaint at a vacation rental. The officer took a decibel reading and determined excessive noise, the second offense by the renter, who was cited both times.

Sept. 17, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 block of Gulf Drive, camping. An officer on patrol spotted a person sleeping on the beach. The officer woke the individual, who was cited for camping.

Sept. 19, 400 block of 28th Street, information. An HBPD officer was called to a fight at a residence. The officer determined the altercation was verbal and no charges were filed.

Sept. 20, 4300 block of Gulf Drive, battery. People reported a fight in progress in a stopped vehicle. Upon arrival, Holmes Beach police officers determined a fight had occurred between two people in the vehicle while a juvenile was present. One person was arrested for battery and transported to the Manatee County jail.

Sept. 21, 600 block of Gladstone Lane, information. An officer was sent to the house of a person who complained of nausea and hallucinations after opening a mailed package and inhaling the contents. Emergency management services arrived and checked vital signs, which appeared normal.
