March 10, 300 block of North Bay Boulevard, domestic battery. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the aftermath of a fight between two women. Deputies determined that the aggressor had pushed and pinned the victim to the ground. Deputies arrested and booked the aggressor at the Manatee County jail.
March 12, 9900 block of Gulf Drive, lost property. Trash cans were reported missing.

Bradenton Beach
March 11, 2500 Gulf Drive South, Coquina Beach. Cash and a credit card were reported missing by a New York visitor. The woman and her sister parked their rental car March 8 by the beach, placing their purses in the car trunk. Later the same day, the woman noticed $150 cash missing. Her credit card company subsequently called to alert her of suspicious activity. The woman told police she did not see damage to the vehicle and had no specific information about the vehicle. BBPD closed the case pending further information or leads.

Holmes Beach
March 3, 500 block of 72nd Street, domestic battery. A fight between live-in partners ended with a woman’s arrest. A witness to the fight told Holmes Beach police the aggressor had punched the victim in the eye. The aggressor was arrested and transported to the Manatee County jail.
March 8, 3600 block of East Bay Drive, driver’s license. Police stopped a family traveling from Seffner after observing the male driver and a small child without seat belts fastened. The man told the officer his license was no good. Upon running the license, police determined the motorist’s license was permanently revoked. The driver was arrested and transported to the Manatee County jail.
March 9, 200 block of 43rd Street, criminal traffic. After observing a traffic violation, police stopped a Sarasota man driving a vehicle with an improper tag. The driver also had no driver’s license, vehicle registration or proof of insurance. Police issued a notice to appear for the license and registration violations, a citation for no insurance and a written warning for failure to obey a traffic device. The officer impounded the vehicle tag.
March 10, 2900 block of Avenue C, battery. A woman reported a vehicle came close to hitting her while she was walking her dog so she yelled at its driver. The woman said the driver approached her, pushed her twice and told her not to mess with him. The male driver denied touching the victim. The victim declined to press charges.
March 11, 4900 block of Second Avenue, driver’s license. An officer ran a vehicle’s registration and issued a summons to a Bradenton man for driving on a suspended license.
March 11, 3200 E. Bay Drive, Walgreens, fraud. A victim of a fraudulent credit card transaction at the store reported the incident to police and a store manager. Police were shown video from the day of the transaction. In the video, a suspicious man attempted to use five different cards when, finally, one worked. He also made a second transaction.
March 11, 8100 block of Palm Drive, burglary. Cordless drills, chargers and nail guns were among the items taken from a marked construction site. An unknown person trespassed and entered the contractor’s trailer by breaking its lock. The victim valued the stolen tools at $6,800.
March 12, 6700 block of Gulf Drive, theft. Two lawn chairs valued at $299 were reported stolen from a second-story condo. Several neighbors told the victim they’d heard voices in the early morning hours.
