A call from a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a Holmes Beach man for driving under the influence.
David B. Paduani, 68, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. June 7 in the 800 block of Gulf Drive South in Bradenton Beach after a police officer on vacation observed Paduani “driving all over the road,” according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office’s probable cause affidavit.
The officer from Tennessee first alerted Bradenton Beach Police Department Officer Steven Masi.
Masi also observed the vehicle failing to maintain a single lane, stopped the motorist and ticketed him for traffic infractions.
The MCSO deputy administered field sobriety tests and Paduani gave two breath samples, measuring 0.178 and 0.169 blood alcohol content, according to the MCSO report. The legal limit is a 0.08 BAC.
He was transported to Manatee County jail and was released after posting a $500 bond.
Paduani’s court arraignment is set for July 8 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
