What’s Labor Day 2015 at the beach look like on Anna Maria Island? It looks like a Norman Rockwell painting. Islander photographer Jack Elka answers the question with a drone photo taken Sept. 6 looking south from the Manatee Public Beach. It looks like plenty of people taking advantage of time away from work, sharing the white sandy shoreline, a beautiful blue sky and the varied aqua colors of the Gulf of Mexico. The high temperature over the weekend reached 93 degrees and the water temp hovered in the 90s.
