Doug LeFevre’s new mobile home is lifted by a crane Oct. 5 from a flatbed truck to its platform at B21 Second St. in the Sandpiper Resort, Bradenton Beach. Oct. 5. LeFevre, president of Sandpiper’s homeowners association and, waited two years for his variance to be approved by city hall. He said his is the first unit in the Sandpiper community to be elevated to 11 feet. The new unit will make more room for family.
