Bradenton man arrested for DUI

A motorist stopped for speeding was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Jhon Zamora, 26, of Bradenton, was arrested early Nov. 11 by the Holmes Beach Police Department for driving impaired. He received a written warning for speeding.

Officer Alan Bores was conducting radar in the 5200 block of Gulf Drive when he clocked Zamora’s vehicle traveling 38 mph in a 25-mph zone.

Zamora told police he had been at the Sports Lounge in Bradenton Beach and was taking friends to their home in Anna Maria.

Bores observed Zamora had red, watery eyes, according to the police report.

HBPD transported Zamora to the Manatee County jail after he allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Zamora provided breath samples that measured 0.111 and 0.103 blood-alcohol content. The legal limit is 0.08.

He posted $500 cash bond and was released.

Zamora’s court arraignment is set for Dec. 14 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
