Anna Maria Oyster Bar president John Horne thanks Bradenton Beach Mayor Bill Shearon for a commemorative plaque on the opening of the new AMOB at the Historic Bridge Street Pier during a Dec. 26 VIP party and ribbon-cutting. The mayor had the plaques made from planks taken from the old pier. Horne thanked his first week’s patrons for contributing $2,100 for “free” meals, all of which the AMOB donated to the Anna Silver Community Center.
