After allegedly hitting a curb, straddling two lanes and almost crashing her vehicle on Cortez Road, a 32-year-old Bradenton Beach woman was arrested for driving impaired.
Rachel Knipfer was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Knipfer’s attorney entered a plea of not guilty Jan. 5 on her behalf.
Before making Knipfer’s arrest at 10:43 p.m. Dec. 20, Manatee County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Vanover observed her erratic driving on Cortez Road West from the 3700 to the 2300 blocks.
Vanover administered field sobriety tests and then transported Knipfer to the Manatee County jail, where she provided breath samples measuring 0.205 and 0.214 blood alcohol content. The legal limit is 0.08 BAC.
She posted a $500 bond and was released.
Knipfer’s arraignment is set for Jan. 20 at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
