Week 4: Catching the surf

Hudson Saras of Colony, Texas, wins the fourth week of The Islander’s 2023 Top Notch photo contest with a photograph — taken July 13 in Holmes Beach near 45th Street. “I am 15 years old and spend my summers here,” Hudson wrote for the entry, adding, “I took this picture of the sunset by sticking my phone right in the surf.” The photographer wins an Islander “More-than-a-mullet wrapper” T-shirt and entry into the finals, which offers a grand prize of $100 from The Islander and gift certificates from Islander advertisers.
