Tampa Bay Marine employees continue driving piles Nov. 25 for the Anna Maria City Pier’s walkway, which was destroyed by last year’s storms. Mayor Mark Short wrote in a Nov. 28 text to The Islander that the contractor had driven about 20 pilings, but work was suspended and the barge was moved to safer waters Nov. 26 due to high winds. Work was set to resume Dec. 1, according to Short. Islander Photo: Robert Anderson
