• Jan. 30, 100 block of Los Cedros Drive, theft. A boat propeller was taken from a boat stored on a lift at a residence.
• Feb 4, 100 block of North Bay Boulevard, leaving scene of a crash. The driver of a dark colored minivan backed into the post of the stop sign, bending the post back and causing the stop sign to lean back approximately 2 feet. A witness reported the suspect’s vehicle fled the scene, but a second witness followed the vehicle and police apprehended the driver in the 5500 block of Manatee Avenue.
• Feb. 5, 200 block of Cypress Avenue, burglary. Someone pried open the rear porch door and a sliding door. The residence was ransacked, and unidentified items were taken.
• Feb. 6, 500 block of Bayview Place, missing person. A woman flagged down a deputy to ask for help finding her missing husband. According to the report, the man has Alzheimer’s disease. He was located at Galati Marine on South Bay Boulevard.
• Feb. 6, 100 block of Willow Avenue, fraud. A man reported that funds were removed from his bank account fraudulently.
• Feb. 7, 800 block of Jacaranda Road, information. A man reported receiving a suspicious call from a person claiming to be from Bank of America asking for personal identification information.

Bradenton Beach
• Jan. 25, 100 block of Seventh Street N., burglary to vehicle. A complainant came to the police station and reported that his truck had been entered and his GPS stolen sometime between Jan. 23-24. He filed an affidavit stating he did not give permission to anyone to enter his vehicle and take his GPS. The GPS was valued at $129.
Jan. 27, 101 22nd St., Tropic Isle Inn, theft. A representative of Tropic Isle was checking on remodeling work in progress when she noticed six ceiling fans missing. The representative observed broken glass in the parking spaces of the building parallel to 22nd Street, and asked the painters about it. The painters said a man collecting aluminum from the trash pulled out a window and its glass broke into the parking lot. The painters also said the scrap collector left his business card. Police placed into evidence a security recording and the business card. The investigation continues.
Feb. 8, 1407 Gulf Drive S., Coquina Moorings, burglary to vehicle. A man reported his vehicle had been entered and Bushnell binoculars with a digital camera and prescription eyeglasses were stolen sometime earlier that week while his car was parked at his condo.

Holmes Beach
• Feb. 8, 100 block of 50th Street, burglary. A complainant reported someone entered an unlocked gate to a privacy fence on the west side of the residence. A flat-panel television that had been mounted to a wall on a back porch, valued at $500, was reported missing.
• Feb. 8, 4100 block of Fifth Avenue, burglary. A complainant reported a burglary occurred Feb. 2 in which one of her tenants advised a flat-panel television set had been stolen. It was valued at $500.
• Feb. 8, 5372 Gulf Drive, suspicious vehicle. An officer was dispatched to an office where the complainant said a 2010 Champion scooter with Florida license tag had been parked outside for two or three days. Police checked the registration of the vehicle and tried to contact the owner, but there was no phone listing.
• Feb. 4, 2900 block of Gulf Drive, theft. A complainant reported that sometime during the early afternoon a new red 26-inch Roadmaster mountain bike was stolen. Police responded to the scene and found no evidence in the area.
• Feb. 5, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, vehicle burglary. Police responded to a report of a stolen wallet from an unlocked car at Manatee Public Beach. A man reported his passport and wallet, including his driver’s license, social security card and miscellaneous identification was stolen from the glove box inside his vehicle. Police checked the area and nearby trash cans, but the wallet was not was found.
• Feb.6, 200 block of Peacock Lane, suspicious person. A complainant reported a drunk woman in her backyard. When police responded they found a woman at the corner of 52nd Street and Gulf Drive. The woman was being picked up by a friend, who was giving her a ride home.
• Feb. 6, 500 block of 69th Street, snake. Police relocated a rat snake safely to the bushes after a woman reported the snake in an outside shower.
