The Florida Department of Transportation is continuing its road repair project on West Manatee Avenue/State Road 64 from the Perico Bay Club east to 75th Street, Bradenton.
The work is from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
Any road resurfacing will be 9 p.m.-5 a.m., and accompanied by a flagging operation for vehicular traffic.
The project is scheduled for completion in mid-summer.
Work on renovations to the Cortez Bridge also is continuing, the DOT said, with the majority of work conducted on weeknights.
If lane closures are required, they will be 9 p.m.-5 a.m. during the week. Any drawbridge raising for maintenance work will be from 2 a.m.-3 a.m. and last a maximum of 15 minutes, the DOT press release said.
The project is expected to finish in late 2014 or early 2015.
Florida Power & Light is replacing power poles on Gulf Drive from the Cortez Road intersection to 28th Street the week of June 18-22.
Motorists should expect northbound lane closures in this area 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. through Friday, June 20, the DOT said.
The Manatee County Area Transit announced the fare-free Island Trolley would operate its regular schedule on the Independence Day, July 4, holiday.
Trolley operations begin at 6 a.m. at Coquina Beach and the Anna Maria City Pier and continue to 10:30 p.m.
MCAT’s beach express, which brings passengers from the shopping center on the northeast corner of the Manatee Avenue West/75th Street intersection, will operate its normal schedule July 4.
