Islander to host Popcorn and Politics forum

Everything tastes better with butter, especially popcorn and even politics.

The Islander newspaper continues its tradition of hosting an old-fashioned election season party with Popcorn and Politics, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10.

Attendees can expect to hear from candidates in the island elections, as well as discussions on other political affairs and current events at the newspaper office, 5604B Marina Drive, Holmes Beach.

The Islander is extending invitations to local candidates to attend the forum and address constituents, who will be invited to vote in a straw poll.

For more information, call The Islander at 941-778-7978.
