Anna Maria commission candidate David Bouchard raised and spent the most money of the three commission candidates, although his campaign to win a seat Nov. 4 was unsuccessful.
According to the Oct. 31 campaign finance report submitted by Bouchard to the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections Office, he took in $4,100 in contributions and $244.92 in-kind contributions.
He spent $1,885.39, which failed to unseat incumbent Chuck Webb by 13 votes.
Webb raised $389.50 and spent $327.50, according to his report. Webb finished with 425 votes to Bouchard’s 412.
Commissioner Nancy Yetter reported campaign finances of $775 and spending of $555.84. She was the top vote-getter of the three candidates, finishing with 484 votes.
In Anna Maria’s mayoral race, winner Dan Murphy raised $1,325 and had $261.72 in-kind contributions. He spent $1,235.74.
Incumbent SueLynn raised $900 in campaign contributions and reported spending $885.21.
