A 26-year-old Holmes Beach man spent 29 days in Manatee County jail for a GPS car burglary after his probation was revoked by the 12th Judicial Circuit Court.
Judge Charles E. Roberts ordered Erik D. Hall to serve a 30-day sentence in jail, with credit for time served, for violating a term of his probation requiring him to live without violating the law.
According to the Manatee County jail website, Hall was in jail Oct. 25-Nov. 22 on the probation violation.
The probation was ordered in July after he pleaded no contest to charges of stealing the GPS on the 2500 block of Avenue B in Bradenton Beach.
Hall was on probation when re-arrested Oct. 6 for a domestic battery.
An assistant state attorney’s notice filed in November, however, indicates the battery will not be prosecuted.
The probation requirement does not require a conviction of a legal violation.
Hall also was arrested in 2012 on charges of attempted burglary and theft of a firearm, which the state attorney’s office did not prosecute.
