Florida native Tal Reeve is a graduate of Manatee Community College with an associate degree in film and television. After college, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served eight years as a military journalist. He has been stationed in Italy and Japan while working for the American Forces Network and Commander, Sixth Fleet staff. When he left the military switched and became a registered nurse but, after much deliberation, he has returned to his roots within the world of the printed word. He now joins the staff at The Islander, putting camera and computer to work on Anna Maria Island.
