Feb. 15, 100 block of Spring Avenue, drug possession. Police seized marijuana from beachgoers who were observed smoking it. Notices to appear in court were issued in lieu of arrests.

Bradenton Beach
Feb. 19, 900 Gulf Drive, N., Gulf Drive Cafe, drug overdose. Police found a man unconscious with a belt on his arm near a plastic bag containing brown powder. He was treated by emergency medical services and transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Cortez
Feb. 16, 12100 block of Cortez Road West, lost property. A driver’s license went missing at a laundry mat.

Holmes Beach
Feb. 14, 6600 Gulf Drive, Beach Bistro, warrant arrest. A Holmes Beach man was arrested on a warrant out of Sarasota County. He was transported to the Manatee County jail.
Feb. 15, 3900 E. Bay Drive, Publix Super Market, shoplifting. Two suspects made two trips into the store and both stole eight bottles of champagne. A video tape showed the suspects pass the register without paying.
Feb. 19, 500 block of Key Royale Drive, license. A police officer running radar observed a motorist speeding and stopped the vehicle. The driver told the officer he had no driver’s license, and handed him a passport from Mexico. The driver was issued a summons for driving with no license and a ticket for speeding.
Feb. 20, 6500 block of Gulf Drive, license. Police stopped a motorist after noticing the vehicle’s window tint appeared too dark and learning the tag was expired. The driver was ticketed for a window tint violation and issued a summons for having no valid driver’s license.
Feb. 20, 8500 block of Gulf Drive, warrant. Police observed a motorist and passenger not wearing their seatbelts. The officer stopped the vehicle, arrested the driver on a Missouri warrant with extradition and transported him to Manatee County jail.
