The Florida Department of Transportation issued the following alert for motorists driving in the area:
• SR 789/Gulf Drive at the Longboat Key Drawbridge: Crews are working on the bridge. Expect intermittent north and southbound lane closures 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, May 28, through Tuesday, June 16, excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
• SR 684/Cortez Road west of Palma Sola Boulevard: Crews are installing a concrete pole. Expect daytime eastbound outside lane closures 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Friday, May 29.
SR 64/Manatee Avenue between 15th Street West to State Road 789/Gulf Drive: Crews will install detectable warning on curb ramps. There will be temporary sidewalk closures through the middle of June.
