The prosecutor assigned an alleged sexual battery in Holmes Beach has dropped the case.
Assistant State Attorney Brian Chambers filed an April 15 notice in 12th Judicial Circuit Court that states the charge will not be filed against Lawrence Joseph Schwartz Jr., of Holmes Beach.
Schwartz was arrested March 6 by the Holmes Beach Police Department.
In a memo declining to file formal charges, the prosecution noted the victim signed a waiver of prosecution and there was insufficient evidence to prove the case.
