Anna Maria Island Privateers president-elect Bill “Sparkles” Rosencrantz presents Warren Klaus with a commemorative plaque June 14 as a thank-you for the new Christmas sleigh Klaus designed and built for the organization. Klaus and other volunteers built the sleigh over six months at his Cortez home. The sleigh features a sound system, animatronic reindeer and enough storage room for Santa’s bag of toys.
