The Anna Maria Island Privateers announced its 2015 scholarship winners July 4 at the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe, 4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach, following the annual Independence Day parade.
Ten scholarships were awarded, totaling $11,700. Since the inception of the Privateers’ scholarship program, more than $300,000 has been awarded to exceptional students who are committed to giving back to the community.
Students receiving scholarship renewals are Chelsea Perez, Emily Mulrine, Justin Puthusseril, Alexander Chawi, Monica McDonough and Ourania Lardas.
New scholarship recipients are Trista Campbell, Konstantina Lardas, Emily Waikem and Mina Barsoum.
