A motorist arrested for DUI after a three-car accident on the Cortez Bridge in March was sentenced to 12 months probation.
Brigette Davis of Bradenton pleaded no contest Sept. 25 to driving under the influence with a 0.15 or higher blood alcohol content.
Twelfth Circuit Judge Robert A. Farrance found her guilty and ordered her vehicle impounded for 10 days and a one-year driver’s license suspension.
After Davis was pulled over March 1, she gave two breath samples, measuring 0.253 and 0.258, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report. The legal blood alcohol content level is 0.08.
Farrance also ordered an ignition interlock device installed in Davis’ vehicle for two years.
Terms of her probation include attending three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week, not to consume alcohol and random urinalysis. Farrance also ordered Davis be given credit for time served in jail and public service, as well as the possibility of early termination.
Davis must pay $1,406 in court costs, $50 for cost of prosecution and $100 for the investigation of the MCSO.
