Holmes Beach man pleads no contest to DUI

A 57-year-old Holmes Beach man pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash in Holmes Beach.

Robert McClellan was sentenced to 12 months probation in connection with a June arrest after a Holmes Beach police officer observed him driving on a flat tire.

Twelfth Circuit Judge Mark Singer found McClellan guilty and ordered a 10-day vehicle impoundment and a six-month driver’s license suspension with an exception to drive for business purposes.

McClellan also was ordered to serve 100 hours of community service and pay $1,656 in fines and costs.
