Woody Candish
The Islander learned at press time that Woody Candish, 69, of Bradenton, a well known, respected artist and friend who resided many years on Anna Maria Island, died Nov. 16. More information will be posted online as it becomes available at www.islander.org and in next week’s newspaper.
A celebration of life was being planned at press time.
Angelo Julian Cayo
Angelo Julian Cayo, 79, of Holmes Beach and formerly of Lakeland, died Nov. 7.
He was born Jan. 22, 1936.
A graveside service was Nov. 12 in Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland. Funeral arrangements were by Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel.
James Micheal Chapman
James Micheal Chapman, 63, formerly of Holmes Beach, died Oct. 25.
He attended Anna Marie Elementary School and Manatee and Venice high schools.
He enjoyed surfing and spending time on the beach, reading, music and his dogs and cat.
He owned several businesses and was a consultant for Indian tribes in Florida and California.
A memorial will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the south side of Manatee Public Beach in Holmes Beach.
He is survived by wife Vivian; son Alex and wife Sandy of Bradenton; grandchildren Elizabeth and Sasha; sister Peggy Anderson and husband David of North Port; brother Charles and wife Debbie of Wesley Chapel and three nephews and three nieces.
