Nov. 25, 200 block of Cocoanut Avenue, suspicious circumstances. A woman woke up to a dog barking. She went outside and saw a man on the sidewalk she didn’t recognize. The woman’s daughter called MCSO. Police located the man and he left the area.

Bradenton Beach
Dec. 3, Cortez Beach, 500 Gulf Drive S., vehicle burglary. Out-of-state visitors returned to find their rental car window shattered. Jewelry, including a diamond ring valued at $3,000, a purse and a wallet were stolen.

Cortez
Nov. 18, 4400 block of 124th Street Court West, trespass. A man was found passed out on a bench in another person’s backyard. An MCSO deputy awakened the man and determined he was intoxicated. A trespass warning was issued to the man.
Nov. 21, Cortez Bridge, 12507 Cortez Road W., criminal mischief. A Bradenton man called MCSO and reported an eastbound pickup truck struck the bridge and fled. According to a Florida Department of Transportation spokesman, the bridge gate was designed to break away, and bolts valued at $100 were broken. A repair crew was called to fix the gate.

Holmes Beach
Nov. 14, 100 block of 79th Street, burglary. An unknown person entered a residence by prying a back door off its hinges. Nothing was reported missing.
Nov. 16, 300 block of 62nd Street, theft. Two white wood Adirondack-style chairs valued at $600 were taken from a front yard.
Nov. 17, 100 block of 34th Street, domestic battery. A 41-year-old woman hit a man during an argument about money and alcohol. HBPD arrested the woman and transported her to Manatee County jail.
Nov. 19, Manatee County Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, battery/theft. A man accused another man outside Publix of owing him $20. The two took the trolley to the beach parking lot. There, the victim denied owing anything, but pulled out a $10 bill. The suspect snatched the man’s money, punched him in the head and fled on a bicycle. Holmes Beach Police Department sent a request to the state attorney for the man’s arrest.
Nov. 20, 5800 block of Flotilla Drive, warrant. While observing traffic, an HBPD officer ran a tag and determined the 27-year-old vehicle owner had a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest from Hillsborough County. The officer arrested the man on the warrant and issued citations for driving on a suspended license and failing to show his registration. An MCSO deputy took custody of the man.
Nov. 20, 3800 block of East Bay Drive, larceny. A cordless drill and battery valued at $320 were stolen from the tailgate of a work truck.
Nov. 21, Islands West Resort, 3605 Gulf Drive, burglary. A TV, DVD player and power cord, all valued at $255, were reported missing. There was no sign of forced entry.
Nov. 23, 500 block of 72nd Street, burglary. A couple reported a forced entry to a residence and a TV, DVD player, stove burner, books and a mirror, all valued at $750, as stolen.
Nov. 25, 3800 block of East Bay Drive, burglary. Four drills, two batteries and a charger, valued at a total of $407, were reported stolen from a construction worker’s vehicle.
Nov. 27, Nautilus, 7100 Gulf Drive, larceny/theft. A man’s wedding ring valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a bedroom dresser.
