Nov. 22, 200 block of Willow Avenue, burglary. A woman reported items stolen after a home intruder fled in an unknown direction.
Dec. 1, 700 block of North Shore Drive, burglary. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office was called about an unknown person entering a residence and taking items.

Bradenton Beach
Dec. 6, Freckled Fin Restaurant, 101 Bridge St., trespass. Bradenton Beach Police Department responded to loud noise coming from the bar. One officer was investigating the noise violation when an intoxicated customer in the bar began questioning police. The officer told the man to mind his own business, but the customer continued arguing and yelling obscenities. The manager gave the man his check and asked him to leave, but he refused. The 39-year-old man was transported to jail on charges of trespass after warning and opposing an officer.
Dec. 11, Summer Sand condominium, 1007 Gulf Drive N., obstruction. Just after midnight, officers responded to a call about a golf cart operating recklessly. They observed a golf cart with six passengers pull into a parking garage and four people fleeing. According to the BBPD report, two men “appeared out of nowhere,” told police they didn’t know the two people who left in the golf cart, and asked if they were being detained. The men left and returned several times, becoming more belligerent and demanding each time. Finally, one man’s outbursts were so demanding, police were hindered in their investigation and the man was arrested on an obstruction charge.

Cortez
Dec. 1, 3700 block of 116th Street West, battery. Two roommates argued and one slapped a phone from the other’s hand.

Holmes Beach
Nov. 28, 5800 block of Marina Drive, warrant arrest. Holmes Beach police had information that a man was wanted on two Manatee County warrants. The officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested the suspect after spotting the vehicle in which the man was a passenger.
Nov. 28, Jessie’s Island Store, 5424 Marina Drive, lewdness. A man and two women were panhandling in the store’s parking lot after they parked a van with an out-of-state tag. The man was seen urinating near a dumpster and was told to leave by store personnel.
