An early morning break-in at the Holmes Business Center was reported Dec. 5 by business owners, who found their back door pried open, a missing credit card and items taken valued at $5,000.
Mikey Silbaugh of West Coast Air Conditioning and Heating said he and his family were alerted of the theft by the credit card company. The company notified them of unauthorized use at Circle K, 2513 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach.
Later in the day, the owners discovered the burglary and theft of refrigeration monitors, digital gauges and eight 30-pound refrigerant cylinders, he said.
“Hopefully, we’re going to have some answers soon,” added Silbaugh, saying he expects the suspect will be identified from the Circle K surveillance camera.
The company, at 5347 Gulf Drive No. 4, is a family-owned business operating on Anna Maria Island for 35 years.
