Probation, public service and fines were part of a Holmes Beach woman’s sentence on charges of felony cocaine possession, driving under the influence of alcohol with prior convictions and refusal to submit to a breath test.
Daniella Mannino, now 37, pleaded no contest to the charges stemming from a Florida Highway Patrol arrest in Sarasota when Mannino failed field sobriety tests and troopers allegedly found a plastic bag containing cocaine in her coat pocket.
In her sentencing, 12th Judicial Circuit Judge Deno Economou withheld adjudication on the drug charge and sentenced her to two years drug offender probation, ordering her not to consume alcohol and submit to random urinalysis. Finding her guilty on the DUI and refusal to submit charges, the judge meted out a concurrent one-year probation.
The probation orders filed in September require Mannino to attend a DUI school and victim-impact panel, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, if necessary, a 10-day vehicle impoundment, one-year driver’s license suspension and 100 hours of community service.
She also was ordered to pay $3,071 in court costs and fines.
Hummmm…A guy would have been locked up and the key thrown away!
