A former Bradenton Beach man was sentenced to jail time served after the 12th Circuit State Attorney amended its case to correct the type of drug he was found possessing.
Harry M. Holmes, 32, pleaded no contest June 9 to one count of possessing cocaine.
Judge Deno Economou handed down Holmes’ sentence, which also included a one-year driver’s license suspension and more than $800 in court costs and fees.
In April 2015, law enforcement arrested Holmes in a west Bradenton sting investigation by the Bradenton Police Department narcotics unit and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
A BPD report stated Holmes was arrested in a parking lot with three bags and 1.8 grams of heroin.
Holmes was sentenced to 45 days in the Manatee County jail for a prior drug conviction. He was released in May.
