Twelfth Circuit Judge Charles Sniffin withheld adjudication on charges levied against a 21-year-old woman arrested for allegedly having sex on the beach in Holmes Beach.
Lucille Buffaline of Bradenton pleaded no contest July 19 to possessing alcohol on the beach and a reduced disorderly conduct charge.
The state originally charged Buffaline and Austin M. Acklin of Bradenton with exposure of sexual organs after witnesses saw them engaging in sex near the 78th Street beach access.
Acklin pleaded no contest March 28 to disorderly conduct and possessing alcohol on the beach.
For Acklin, Sniffin withheld adjudication pending a six-month probation and levied more than $700 in fines and court costs.
In cases where judges withhold judgments, the defendants are not convicted of the crime.
Buffaline was ordered to pay $618 in costs within 90 days.
