Bradenton Beach
Sept. 13, 100 block of Gulf Drive South, domestic disturbance. A Bradenton Beach police officer responded to a report of a couple arguing on the sidewalk. They told police the argument was about the man being friendly with other women. The couple calmed down, began to converse peacefully and assured police they were OK. They continued their walk.
Sept. 20, 2000 block of Coquina Gulfside Park, drug paraphernalia. A 24-year-old woman pushing a pickup truck in the parking lot was arrested for possessing pipes for marijuana, crack cocaine and other paraphernalia. Police determined the license tag on the truck was not been registered to the vehicle. The woman consented to a vehicle search after acknowledging there was drug paraphernalia inside. She was transported to the Manatee County jail.

Cortez
Sept. 9, 4200 block of 126th Street, criminal mischief. A Manatee County sheriff’s deputy responded to a condominium parking area where a man was spraying a fire extinguisher for no apparent reason. The man admitted to breaking the glass on the fire extinguisher case and said he was trying to get home. He agreed to pay $40 in damages he caused and a condo representative declined to prosecute.
Sept. 16, 4200 block of Marina Court, fraud. A man reported an unknown person had made two unauthorized charges to his credit card and the merchandise ordered was shipped to Jacksonville.

Holmes Beach
Sept. 12, 500 block of Key Royale, theft. A license tag from a boat trailer stored in a garage was stolen. The trailer owner received a call from the Orlando Police Department asking whether he’d allowed a woman to use his trailer tag. He advised police he had not given any such permission.
Sept. 14, Sun & Surf Lifestyle Apparel, 5418 Marina Drive, shoplifting. Pink baby shoes and other items were allegedly stolen by a 49-year-old woman. She was arrested as she walked south on Holmes Boulevard after a store manager reported the theft to the Holmes Beach Police Department. The woman was in possession of $112 in merchandise believed to be stolen from Sun & Surf and other stores. Police confiscated the items. The woman was transported to Manatee County jail.
