Anna Maria
Sept. 25, 800 block of North Shore Drive, open door. Dispatched to an alarm, a Manatee County sheriff’s deputy arrived to see an open door. MCSO believes the door opened during a storm, when winds were high. The door was secured by the officers.
Oct. 5, 100 S. Bay Blvd., attempt to locate. A person notified the Anna Maria substation about a missing relative possibly on drugs, possibly headed to the Anna Maria City Pier. MCSO did not find the missing person but the subject was reported found the next day.
Oct. 6, Anna Maria General Store, 503 Pine Ave., trespass warning. The owner requested a person be trespassed. An MCSO deputy arrived and the trespass warning was issued.
Oct. 7, Sandbar Restaurant, 100 Spring Ave., attempt to locate. Part of a wedding celebration, an intoxicated woman walked on the beach away from the party. Her family became worried after she was missing for an hour. A deputy was dispatched and the woman was found.

Bradenton Beach
Oct. 1, Pines Trailer Park, 100 Church Ave., stolen vehicle. A man reported his 2006 Chevy van stolen. The next day the unoccupied van was found outside a scrap yard, wiped clean. It was returned to the owner.
Oct. 3, city hall, 107 Gulf Drive N., trespass. While conducting building checks, police discovered a man and woman sleeping on a bench. The woman became belligerent and refused to leave. Police arrested the woman and transported her to the Manatee County jail.
Oct. 7, 100 block of Bridge Street, Baker Act. A Bradenton Beach police officer stopped a vehicle that was repeatedly stalling in traffic. After the male motorist exited the vehicle, he fell several times, apparently due to impairment. The officer moved the vehicle off the street and determined the motorist intended to harm himself on finding a loaded gun and suicide notes in the man’s possession. He was transported to a medical facility and his vehicle was towed.
Oct. 9, 100 block of Bridge Street, disorderly conduct. A Bradenton man was arrested after police found him lying in a large planter on the sidewalk at 4:38 a.m. The man became belligerent. Police pepper-sprayed and then arrested the man, who later apologized for his actions and told police he’d had “a very bad day.

Holmes Beach
Oct. 6, 300 block of 61st Street, battery. A man reported he was battered by an employee he’d fired. The alleged suspect and witness also went to the station. Holmes Beach police interviewed all parties but couldn’t determine the aggressor.
Oct. 6, 3600 block of Sixth Avenue, criminal mischief. Key-like scratches on a 1999 Ford 150 were reported.
