A Sarasota man was arrested July 3 for driving under the influence of alcohol in Holmes Beach.
Dalton Culleny, 25, was arrested at 10 p.m. July 3 in the 200 block of Archer Way by a Holmes Beach police officer.
According to the HBPD report, an officer
stopped Culleny for careless driving and saw signs of impairment. The officer called for backup to perform a field sobriety test, which Culleny failed, and reported Culleny smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred.
His blood-alcohol level was 0.271 on two tests. The legal alcohol limit is 0.08.
Culleny was arrested for DUI with a blood-alcohol content over 0.15, transported to the Manatee County jail and released the next day on a $120 bond.
His arraignment was set for Aug. 4.
