Aug. 14, 200 block of Palmetto Avenue, noise. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office received a loud noise complaint about 10:20 p.m. A citation was issued.
Aug. 16, 900 block of North Shore Drive, noise. The MCSO responded to a complaint about loud noise at 10:30 p.m. A citation was issued.
Aug. 17, 100 Bay Blvd., Anna Maria City Pier. The MCSO received a report of an overdose at about 1 a.m. No additional information was provided.
Aug. 17, 200 block of Willow Avenue, noise. The MCSO responded to a complaint about loud noise at about 7 p.m. The complainant said loud music could be heard across a canal. A deputy did not hear loud music but provided renters with city regulations.

Aug. 8, 1500 block of Gulf Drive South, battery. A woman called 911 to request medical help for an alleged victim of battery. Bradenton Beach police officers and Manatee County sheriff’s deputies searched the area but didn’t identify a suspect. The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.
Aug. 15, Anna Maria Island Moose Lodge, 110 Gulf Drive S., trespass. A Bradenton Beach police officer arrived after a manager complained about two guests who refused to comply with COVID-19 safety measures. The officer issued trespass warnings.
Aug. 17, Daiquiri Deck, 107 Bridge St., trespass. A BBPD officer responded to complaints from a restaurant manager about a man panhandling outside the establishment. The manager trespassed the man, who complied with the order.
Aug. 17, 100 block of Gulf Drive South, warrant arrest. An officer observed four people drinking alcohol and blocking a beach access. The officer instructed them to dispose of their alcohol and provide identification. One person had a county warrant for failing to appear in court. The man was arrested and transported to the Manatee County jail. The others left.

Aug. 12, Tide Tables restaurant, 12507 Cortez Road W., threats. MCSO deputies responded to calls from a man who was helping to protect a woman who allegedly received threats while she was fishing. The woman told deputies a man in a truck stared at her and threatened to kill her. The deputies did not find a suspect.

Aug. 12, Grassy Point Preserve, 3017 Ave. C, trespass. A person reported someone sleeping on a picnic table. A Holmes Beach police officer issued a one-year trespass warning.
Aug. 12, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, criminal mischief. A person kicked and hit the glass door of the trolley, causing it to shatter. He was trespassed from the trolley system and issued a notice to appear.
Aug. 12, Alvin’s Island gift shop, 3602 E. Bay Drive, theft. A box of merchandise was reported stolen from behind the store.
Aug. 13, 4300 block of Second Avenue, larceny. A person reported a wallet stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Aug. 13, 600 block of Manatee Avenue West, traffic. An officer observed a person driving 65 mph in a 35 mph zone. Upon stopping the motorist, the officer determined he had a suspended license. The driver was arrested and taken to the Manatee County jail.
Aug. 14, 100 block of 30th Street, dog on beach. An officer responded to a report of a dog on the beach. The owner was asked to remove the dog and was cited.
Aug. 15, 100 block of 31st Street, alcohol. An officer gave a group of people drinking alcohol on the beach a verbal warning but later witnessed one of the group again consuming alcohol and cited the person.
Aug. 15, 4300 block of Gulf Drive, traffic. An officer was alerted by the license plate reader system to a motorist with a suspended license. The driver was issued a notice to appear and the vehicle towed.
Aug. 16, 3900 block of East Bay Drive, marijuana. An officer observed a motorist fail to stop at a flashing red light. Upon stopping the driver, the officer smelled marijuana, which was retrieved from the passenger door. The driver was cited for not stopping at the light and possession of less than 2 grams of marijuana.
Aug. 16, 700 block of Manatee Avenue West, traffic. A driver failed to stop at a flashing red light and was stopped by an HBPD officer. The officer determined the motorist’s license was suspended. The driver was cited for not stopping and issued a notice to appear.
Aug. 17, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, traffic. An officer was alerted by the LPR system to a motorist with a suspended license. The driver was cited and the license and plate were confiscated.
Aug. 18, Kingfish Boat Ramp, 752 Manatee Ave. W., warrant, controlled substance. An officer observed someone on a bike at night with improper lighting. Upon stopping the cyclist, the officer determined the person had two warrants and found methamphetamine and paraphernalia. The cyclist was cited for the bike violation and arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Aug. 18, Anna Maria Elementary School, 4700 Gulf Drive, warrant. An officer received an LPR hit on a motorist, who had a warrant out of Monroe County. The officer stopped the vehicle, confirmed the alert and arrested the driver.
Aug. 18, 6300 block of Marina Drive, traffic. An HBPD officer received a license plate reader hit for a driver with a suspended license. He stopped the motorist, who was cited for expired registration and no insurance, as well as driving with a suspended license.
Aug. 19, 4300 block of Gulf Drive, traffic. A patrol officer was alerted by the LPR system to a vehicle with a stolen plate. The officer also determined the vehicle registration was expired, the motorist had a suspended license and no insurance. The driver was cited, the plate removed and the vehicle towed.
