A Bradenton man was arrested Nov. 5 for driving under the influence of alcohol and drug possession in Holmes Beach.
Cale Tucholski, 43, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Manatee Avenue by a Holmes Beach police officer.
According to the HBPD report, the officer observed Tucholski turn right onto Manatee Avenue from East Bay Drive at a rapid rate of speed, accelerating to 65 mph in a 35-mph zone.
The officer stopped the motorist and reported Tucholski’s eyes were glassy and his speech was slurred.
Upon searching the vehicle, the officer found a bag containing 0.3 grams of cocaine and another bag of 23.7 grams of marijuana. The officer also found a pipe with marijuana residue.
Tucholski failed the field test and blew 0.254 and 0.245 on two Breathalyzer tests. The legal limit is 0.08.
Tucholski was issued a traffic citation for speeding and was arrested for DUI, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor.
He was transported to the Manatee County jail and released the next day.
Tucholski’s arraignment was set for Dec 11.
