Inking the declaration
My great-great-great uncle was a signer on the Declaration of Independence.
Samuel Huntington was president of the First Continental Congress, which preceded our present form of government.
He did not have any children, therefore no direct descendants.
So I consider him to be my personal “Uncle Sam.”
His signature is small, but it’s my favorite!
