Oct. 19, 700 block of North Shore Drive, animal. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Offi ce received a call about a “big turtle walking in the road” with a “bunch of kids looking at it.” The MCSO dispatched a deputy,
who reported, “Turtle has moved itself out of the street.”
Oct. 22, 300 block of Magnolia Avenue, noise. A deputy responded about 11:15 p.m. to a noise complaint related to “people out partying at the pool.” The
deputy identified the source and issued a citation for an ordinance violation.

Bradenton Beach
Oct. 22 Coquina Park, 2650 Gulf Drive S., trespass. Manatee County Marine Rescue contacted the Bradenton Beach Police Department about a man swimming in Longboat Pass despite posted “no swimming” signs. The pass is known to have dangerous currents. The man was detained after approaching an officer in a “belligerent manner” and released after being trespassed from the county park.
Oct. 22, Wicked Cantina, 101 Seventh St. N., trespass warning. A man and a woman were acting belligerently and speaking loudly and cursing. A trespass warning was issued and the two subjects left.
Oct. 23, Bridgewalk Resort, 100 Bridge St., trespass warning. A man left possessions at the motel and the motel’s representative requested the man, not a guest, be trespassed upon returning to retrieve it. The
property was returned and the man issued a trespass warning.
Oct. 23, Cortez Beach, 1000 Gulf Drive S., assist agency. A cyclist reported to an offi cer that he’d witnessed a woman in a store parking lot enter her vehicle staggering and back up into a pole, causing damage to her bumper. The offi cer went to the woman’s last known location and found her sleeping in her vehicle. She denied the crash, but was incapable of standing upright upon exiting the car. Manatee County Sheriff’s
Office assisted. The vehicle was towed and the woman 4307 26th St. W. Bradenton 941.782.8883 was picked up by a family member.
Oct. 24, 108 Seventh St. S., noise. Police responded at 12:15 a.m. to a complaint about loud music from the backyard pool. A verbal warning was given for playing music outdoors after 10 p.m. and the music was moved indoors.

Holmes Beach
Oct. 21, 3800 block of Gulf Drive, burglary. A Holmes Beach police officer responded to reports of a possible theft. The offi cer found a woman who said several items went missing from her vacation rental
overnight. The officer found no signs of forced entry or there was no video. The woman provided contact information for the vacation unit’s cleaning crew.
Oct. 21, 200 block of 75th Street, property damage. An officer responded to reports of a domestic disturbance. The officer found a woman who said her partner kicked a bathroom door down during an argument. The property owner arrived to inspect the damage and did not want to press charges. The couple was separated for the night and the offi cer reported the incident to child protective services due to the presence of a child at the scene.
Oct. 21, 200 block of South Harbor Drive, suspicious circumstances. An officer responded to reports of suspicious circumstance the prior night. The offi cer found a woman who said a man approached her yard
and tried to take her dog. She said the man left when she announced her presence. She described the man’s vehicle.
Oct. 26, 800 block of Manatee Avenue, suspended driver’s license. An officer saw a motorist speeding and used a radar to clock the vehicle traveling at 54 mph in a 35-mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver’s license had been suspended. The officer issued citations for driving with a suspended license, speeding, as well as having no proof of insurance.
The motorist’s girlfriend responded to the scene to drive the man and his vehicle.
