Sept. 5, 700 block of Gladiolus Street, larceny. A Manatee County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of stolen bicycles. The complainant said the bikes were taken from a rack. An incident report was created and a case number assigned.

Bradenton Beach
Sept. 4, 1800 block of Gulf Drive South, drugs. In the early morning, a Bradenton Beach police officer observed an occupied, parked vehicle at a lot closed to the public 9 p.m.-6 a.m. The officer approached the vehicle and noticed an odor of marijuana. The officer searched the vehicle and found a plastic bag containing marijuana, as well as a digital scale and cigarette papers. The driver was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and transported to the Manatee County jail.
Sept. 2, 1000 block of Third Street South, Marchman Act. BBPD officers were dispatched to a call concerning a man staggering along the street. The man slurred his speech and had bloodshot eyes. Officers also had to keep him from falling. The man could not arrange for someone to pick him up so he was transported to the BBPD, and then to Centerstone in Bradenton.

Cortez
Sept. 6,12304 Cortez Road W., the Sea Hagg, burglary. An MCSO deputy was dispatched regarding a break-in and vandalism. A case number was issued and statements were taken.
Sept. 6, 12160 123rd St. W., Bradenton Boat Club Marina, burglary. MCSO deputies were dispatched to a call regarding the theft of fishing equipment valued at more than $900. The equipment was locked in a compartment. Deputies issued a case number and filed an incident report.

Holmes Beach
Aug. 30, Anna Maria Island Beach Resort, 105 39th St., warrant arrest. Two officers from the Holmes Beach Police Department were dispatched to serve a warrant for violation of probation. The officers located the man named in the warrant, arrested him and transported him to the Manatee County jail.
Aug. 31, 600 block of Ivanhoe Lane, fraud. An officer responded to a call and found the complainant, who said someone opened a credit card account under her name and took $7,000 from her checking account. She said she would provide additional documentation.
Aug. 31, 4100 block of Sixth Avenue, Baker Act. An officer responded to reports of a disabled vehicle and spoke with the female driver, who said the vehicle was out of gas. The driver apparently thought she was in Fort Myers and had trouble answering questions, which prompted the officer to suspect cognitive decline. She also did not know how her vehicle, which had dents and scrapes, became damaged. The officer placed the woman in custody under the Baker Act and emergency medical services transported her to the HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
Sept. 1, 3200 E. Bay Drive, Walgreens, trespassing. An officer responded to reports of a man causing trouble at the store and spoke with a manager, who issued a trespass warning to the man while the officer supervised. Within an hour, the officer again responded to the store and the man was back at the store. The officer arrested the man and transported him to the Manatee County jail.
Sept. 1, 400 block of 74th Street, missing person. A man went to the HBPD to report his juvenile daughter as a runaway. He said she had run away several times in recent history. He told police the next day that he found his daughter and brought her home.
Sept. 2, 5300 block of Gulf Drive, public urination/camping. An officer found a man sleeping on a trolley bench. The officer woke the man, who began to urinate next to the bench. The officer issued citations and court summons.
Sept. 4, 100 block of 49th Street, vehicle theft. An officer responded to a construction site for a report of a stolen trailer and spoke with a superintendent. The superintendent said the trailer contained tools, estimated to cost about $10,000. The officer requested dispatch issue a “be-on-the-look-out” order for the trailer.
Sept. 4, 100 block of 49th Street, disturbance. An officer heard a woman yell “Don’t touch me” from a nearby property. The officer responded and found three women, including one who was intoxicated and emotional. A man contacted the officer to ask him to “keep this quiet.” The officer wrote that the man “was trying to keep everything quiet because he was staying at a Holmes Beach city commissioner’s house with their permission.” The officer assisted the intoxicated woman with gathering her belongings so she could stay in a motel. The woman began having a panic attack, and emergency medical services was called to transport her to HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
