Staging, setup continues for Anna Maria City Pier rebuild

Gibsonton-based Tampa Bay Marine employees set up a turbidity barrier Nov. 14 around the Anna Maria City Pier by attaching the barrier to temporary wooden pilings driven into the seabed around the area. The floating barrier will contain disturbed sediment while TBM rebuilds the pier’s walkway, which was destroyed last year by hurricanes Helene and Milton. Islander Photo: Robert Anderson
