Bradenton Beach

      Dec. 14, 500 block of Gulf Drive N., arrest. A Bradenton Beach police officer arrested a motorist on an open warrant. The officer had been running random license plate checks and associated a contempt-of-court warrant from Sarasota County with the motorist.

Holmes Beach

Dec. 12, 2800 block of Gulf Drive, suspicious circumstances. A married couple told Holmes Beach police that they received strange text messages, including one the wife received that claimed she was being tracked while she was driving. The officer searched the vehicle for a tracking device to no avail. The officer advised that they change their digital passwords. He also initiated a nighttime patrol request for their address.
